Christmas Time!!!!
YAY!!! What a wonderful week it has been! We started the week with my Dad's family here at our house and had a blast! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we did some last minute shopping, played with friends and visited with our Uncle Matt!! Thursday, we spent the day with Brad's family in Burnet. All his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. were there. The girls had a great time and loved their gifts. We went to Candlelight service at Brad's Grandparents' church in Burnet that night and that made the day so much more special. We didnt get home till very late, but it was worth every minute! Friday we woke up and found that Santa had visited us! The girls both got a scooter and a baby doll with a stroller, Kara got an elmo and a doodle borad and Katelyn got a magnetic doll set. They were so happy! Then, Gimma and Big Daddy visited us and brought more presents! They even brought Mommy and Daddy a Wii!!! We are thrilled to say the least :) Afterwards, we went to Stonewall for another celebration with My Mom and Dad, Grandparents and Kris and Kayla. The girls were so tired (as were we!) But, they were troopers...although Kara did wake up Friday AM with a low grade fever and runny nose! Poor baby :( She hung in there though and it has been a wonderful Christmas! As I was putting Katelyn to bed last night, she cried and told me she was so sad Christmas was over...I can say I feel the very same way! Today, I'm digging out from under all of it!

First Christmas Celebration of the Season!
We celebrated Christmas with my Dad's family last night and it was wonderful!!! It was the first time all of the grandkids had been together in several years. It was so great to see everyone! So...we managed to get a picture of all of us, sqeezed into out living room! The girls got several books and a couple of stuffed animals. They loved it all!! Family is such a blessing and that family is awesome!!
Visit with Santa
So, Santa came to visit our neighborhood a couple of weekends ago...so Gimma and I took the girls! They weren't too sure about him, but eventually, Kara got in his lap and gave him her 'letter'. It was so sweet! Katelyn was scared as usual, but did manage to tell him she wanted a doll for Christmas. It was precious and priceless...though this Santa seemed a bit grumpy. I don't blame the girls for not wanting to talk to him!

Thanksgiving pics
Thanksgiving was a busy blast! We went to Dallas and spent a couple of days with my grandparents, then came home and spent the day with my parents, grandparents (here in Austin) and Brad's parents at Stonewall. It was fun and tiring! We are SO incredibly thankful for our blessings. They are abundant and we give the Lord the glory for all of them! We hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving as well!

Katelyn's Thanksgiving Play!
This morning was Katelyn's Thanksgiving Performance. The kiddos sang 2 songs and acted out a story. It was absolutely precious! But, of course, even with all my forethought, my video camera decided to run out of battery in the middle of it. I'm going to try to snag some video from another mom who was there. It's too good to not share. In the meantime, here are a few still pics. Katelyn was a 'pilgrim lady.'
Happy Thanksgving everyone!!

Progress on Mom and Dad's house!
So, for those who dont know, my parents are building a brand new house on my grandparent's land in Stonewall. Brad and his Dad and my Dad have been working on it quite a bit. It's all in the family! We've been trying to go out on the weekends and watch the progress in action! Here are a couple of pics from our last visit. Sorry I don't have better ones...next time!
I think Kara thinks she's one of the guys...

Finally took the plunge!
Hello All!
So, I've finally joined the world of blogging. I know sending photos and such via email is difficult, so I thought I'd try this way and see how it goes :)
This week has been a good one. I'm down with a cold of some sort today, but hopefully it won't last too long.
Kara is active as usual and we have had several wonderful play dates with some really nice families here in the neighborhood. I'm LOVING our new place, routine, life, etc.
Katelyn's awesome teacher made their class a video of what they are thankful for. You can check it out below.
Until next news...Happy weekend!
